COMING OUT OF LOCKDOWN

TRIAL OPENING OF THE SHOP

Saturday 18th July

Recently, we have been exploring ways in which we could safely re-open the shop to customers.  There are many challenges as the shop is small and the aisles very narrow. We also have to pick orders and put out stock.

At this present time we will keep to the counter service as that has been working well and queues have been kept to a minimum.  However as a first step towards coming out of lockdown, we are going to have a trial opening on Saturday 18th July.  We've chosen a saturday as the Post Office is closed and it is a shorter day.

There will be a one-way system with entry via the front door and exit via the coffee shop. There will also be signage about the rules that will apply to customers entering the shop. Please note, we are asking customers to please wear a mask when inside the shop.

We will then evaluate how the trial has gone.  Have there been unacceptable queues as people browse and take their time?  Have people kept to the distancing rules?  How have staff and customers felt about the change?   If it has gone well then we will look at how we can introduce more hours when people can come in but until social distancing is relaxed completely we will not be able to go back to “normal” at this time.

It would help very much if our wonderful customers could let us know their views by indicating their preference on the form below.

Thank you for your continued support during this trying time.

Our number one priority is to keep everyone safe.

We'd like your opinion.

Would you prefer to continue

with a counter service?
