CHANGES TO HOW WE SHOP

AND OPENING TIMES

 

To protect the public and all those involved in running the shop during this difficult time, changes have been made as to how and when we can shop or use the Post Office (please see below for opening times). These changes have been made on medical advice. We REMAIN OPEN and well-stocked with essential items. As of Tuesday 14th April, for those who wish to continue shopping in person there is now a 'counter service' in operation. Customers are asked to come to the counter at the door where they can place an order with a staff member/volunteer who will pick their shopping for them. Shopping in this way minimises contact for customers and staff and will be fast and efficient since staff and volunteers know what's in stock and where to find it. However, we will be keeping this service under review. Payment can be made there and then (please try to use contactless card payment if possible but other forms of payment are still taken of course).

We urge you to reduce visits to the shop as much as possible by using the order form on this website or ordering by phone (01823 601026). Phone orders will be diverted to experienced volunteers who will take your order and help as much as possible. We will ring you to let you know when your order is ready and take payments by card over the phone or arrange an alternative way of paying if needed. Click here to see what we have in store. Please give us 48 hours notice unless NHS/Essential worker or urgent.

We encourage you all to use our delivery service rather than visit the shop.

If anyone is struggling to pay for shopping or needs items that are not normally stocked by the shop, or if you are isolating or vulnerable and wondering how you can access services, please do not hesitate to contact the shop on 01823 601026.

 

OPENING TIMES

 

The shop will be opening later than normal so that stock deliveries can be taken and orders processed. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, the first hour (9 a.m.-10 a.m.) will be for vulnerable adults and NHS/essential workers only. On Monday and Wednesday the shop will not be open until 10 a.m. and there will be no priority shopping. Post Office opening times have reduced to 1p.m.-3p.m. during which time the shop will be closed. Post Office outreach services have been temporarily suspended.
